As the BIM Manager you will lead and guide the Business Information Strategy in your region and serve as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects. You determine the strategy on what applications, workflows, and BIM standards will be used throughout Boortmalt. You carry out the development and implementation of software applications. You assist in the implementation of automated technologies to help the company become more efficient and effective. Help plan, initiate and manage information technology (IT) projects.
Your main tasks are:
Develop and implement the Business Information Strategy (roadmap), contributing to the Boortmalt (instead of “Company”) information strategy.
Monitor the information function in relation to key performance indicators and develop remedial action plans if appropriate.
Be a proactive member of the senior management team for commissioning intelligence supporting strategic development of Boortmalt [i.o. “the service”].
Deliver a high quality, responsive and efficient information service supporting Boortmalt [ i.o. “customer”] objectives through delivery of analysis and insight.
Contribute to the programme of work to delivery an integrated commissioning intelligence system adding significant value to the offer for the customer and ensuring local customer needs are reflected in the development of the system by e.g. projects [i.o. of “(projects)”].
Support Boortmalt staff [instead of “customers”] proactively, identifying opportunity to use information to support Boortmalt [instead of “customers”] in commissioning and improvement of its [i.o. Company’s] services, including creation of business cases.
Provide inspirational leadership to the information team (e.g. Functional Application Managers and Business Analysts) to drive innovation in delivery of service, motivating the team to implement a culture of customer service and continuous improvement.
Be responsible for the day to day running of the spoke information function aligned to corporate standards and processes whilst maintaining a customer focussed and responsive service.
Work closely with external customer organisations to understand their requirements, identify and negotiate appropriate services, working with a range of external customer forums as appropriate.
Develop and deliver a business focussed programme (project portfolio) of work as agreed with customers and aligned to the corporate programme of work required to deliver mandated elements of the service.
Work with other teams within the company and relevant external customer leads to ensure that information support for commissioning is integrated with contracting, performance management and financial workstreams.
Develop and implement a comprehensive data quality improvement programme, working with the Development, Data and Integration team and other Business Information Managers to ensure a corporate-wide [i.e. “corporately”) consistent approach to data quality.
Maintain specialist knowledge of methodologies for analysis and reporting and support development of the team in achieving excellence in delivery of services to recognised professional standards.
Maintain detailed and up to date knowledge of (inter)national policy, legislation and professional best practice in the field of “Boortmalt, region US/CAN” information and support the Head of Information Services to undertake the necessary planning, change and development of Company’s information services to meet changes in policy.
Maintain a detailed understanding of Boortmalt’s data flows and incorporate all flows consistently into Boortmalt’s DMIC and CI systems.
Support Boortmalt staff in use of information to ensure informed decision making, including promotion and support for the Boortmalt’s CI system.
Improve the efficiency of the information service by identifying work programmes suitable for delivery at scale and linking with the IT to ensure these are developed appropriately.

Master in Information technology or equal by experience
5 years’ experience in application and project management
Fluently spoken and written in English
Must be legally authorized to work in the USA, hold a valid passport and have the ability to travel to Canada.
