Main tasks

International cooperative / agro-industrial group, leader in its field.
As part of a sales and operational team of 10 people, you contribute to guaranteeing the quality of financial information and position yourself as a true business partner in managing the economic performance of the activity.

As Financial Controller, you provide support for the management of the activity (in collaboration with Group Finance Team) through 4 main areas:

1. Financial control:
- Lead monthly closings: review of end-of-month provisions, inventory valuation, activity reporting and P&L monitoring.
- Lead the forecasting process: budget, quarterly forecasts and 5-year business plans.
- Tracking and follow up of the actual costs on a business compared to budgeted ones.

2. Risk control:
- Participate in the weekly team meeting in order to follow current and forthcoming executions.
- Review, in collaboration with the Middle Office and Group Financial Control, daily reporting of financial risk indicators for General Management and the Financial Department (daily position and P&L and VaR limits).
- Actively participate in the continuous improvement of internal control practices.

3. Credit Management:
- Produce the aged balance of customer receivables and ensure that execution team sends out regular reminders
- Ensure that the credit coverage taken out by the sales team is sufficient to cover the negotiated commercial contracts
- Report the turnover data necessary for quarterly declarations to credit insurance

4. Cash flow forecasts:
- Ensure short-term cash flow forecasts (15 days), in close collaboration with operational and financial teams
- Produce and analyze the Monthly, quarterly and yearly Working Capital Report and Free Cashflow reporting, defining and following action plans to achieve the budget target
- Ensure monitoring of deconsolidation programs (factoring)
- Do some research in collaboration with Group Finance team to improve the trade financing (competitive advantage)

Skills and Qualifications

- Coming from higher education with a specialization in Finance (master's/business school type)
- You have at least 4 years of experience in audit, financial control or treasury in a commodity trading sector.
- Dynamism, autonomy, strength of proposal, organization and rigor are essential assets for this position.
- Fluency in French and English are essential to ensure communication with corporate teams and group management.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. Able to create macro and visual basic programming is an advantage
- Experience working with ERP systems. Knowledge of Sage X3 would be an advantage
- Knowledge of Treasury software such as Kyriba would be an advantage
