Visite Moulin régional de Reuilly - Axiane

A group of ten young cooperative members, from various different geographical areas and types of farms, recently spent a day finding out more about the Group’s processing facilities.
The event was held at Reuilly mill (Cher), Axiane’s largest mill by capacity, which produces 250 tonnes of flour every day. The group was hosted by Patrice Humbert (Site manager), Hassan Kammoun (Production manager) and Olivier Maillet (Bakery development technologist). There were chances to chat to all the staff responsible for flour production, quality and packaging on the site, whose clients include manufacturers and supermarkets as well as craft bakers.
“Accompanying young farmers has always been a priority for Axereal Group. Each year, we support numerous young people as they take their first steps in the business, and we believe it is important as part of this to give them opportunities to visit the processing facilities available for their products. Now more than ever, the channel model is vital to the long-term future of our operations,” said Axereal Group administrators Frédéric Gond and Valérie Leguereau.
The day continued with a discussion on the strategic challenges facing Axereal’s Milling operations, with the participation of David Hubert (CEO, Axiane Meunerie) and Sarah Menard (Communications and CSR Manager).
