In a context of accelerated transitions, at the scale of farms and food chains, Axereal is embarking on a major project to improve the performance of relations with farmers on the one hand, customers and consumer-citizens on the on the other hand, aimed at improving the sustainable efficiency of its economic model.

An ambitious strategic orientation project.

“It is our responsibility to change the organization of agricultural professions towards a more “sector-oriented” scheme. We have decided for Axéréal to make a shift in the organization of agricultural activities, in commercial policies, investment strategy, digitalisation, agronomic innovation in favor of better value for farmers' production and sanitary quality of the grains recognized by consumers" announces Jean-François Loiseau, Chairman of Axereal.

Agronomic and digital innovation will be at the center of the development policy: capitalizing on the soil, deploying alternative and combinatorial solutions with farmers, accelerating the decarbonization of cropping routes, and constantly improving the efficiency of collection and processing sites. transformation. Axereal wants to become an example of co-construction with farmers and its customers, at all levels, from the most local to the most international, by accelerating the agro-ecological and digital transition.

"The course of the cooperative will be guided by new ways of promoting agricultural production offered to farmers, and excellence in our professions. The strategic shift towards which we are planning, in close collaboration with the elected farmers of the cooperative, will lead us towards a strengthened regional organization, a simpler and more local commercial policy, and recalibrated infrastructures." explains Paul-Yves L'Anthoën, Chief Executive Officer of Axereal.

Axereal is committed to a stronger, more solid, more responsive model. Field teams will remain central in the relationship with farmers. The cooperative will intensify training plans, enabling them in particular to better support producers in the agri-ecological transition.

Now shared with the cooperative's local governance bodies and presented to the staff representative bodies, this strategic orientation project and the related reorganizations will be rolled out gradually. The whole project should allow a substantial increase in performance, with the objective of 30 million euros in competitiveness gains, in the service of a better return to farmers.
