Axereal, an agro-industrial cooperative group
To meet customers needs
Axereal is France's biggest grain cooperative, collecting five million tonnes of grain from its 13,000 cooperative members in the country's main breadbasket – the vast Centre Val de Loire region stretching from south of Paris to north of Auvergne.
The company strives to promote and perpetuate its members' production and to contribute to the development of quality food products. Axereal achieves this mission by putting client satisfaction at the heart of its strategy.
Axereal is there for its customers as they grow, covering the entire grain business chain from listening to what the client needs to providing the seeds.
The company markets 10 million tonnes of grain in its natural state or refined, including nearly three million tonnes of flour, malt and animal feed processed in its own facilities in France and Europe.
By combining knowledge of the various professions, innovation, research and internationalisation, Axéréal is able to offer its customers complete solutions with real added value and to be a key figure in the cereal chain.
Axéréal employs 3,218 people and has an annual turnover of 3.2 billion euros.
By creating more value and more wealth and developing market outlets the cooperative strives to grow ever closer to its members to better secure their income.
Axéréal operates its grain business in the heart of one of Europe’s major cereal-growing regions.
This territory covers nine départements of fertile land from Beauce to the Perche region in the west and the Berry Nivernais Touraine area in the south.
Cereal crops dominate in farms that range in size from 100 to 400 hectares.
The region benefits from natural good soil conditions and a favourable climate.
Modern practices combined with the farms’ technological prowess ensure a strong competitive edge for the region’s producers.
